Silence
Broken pieces
Endless void
Trapped
People yelling
Noone surviving
I hear nothing.
Sitting
Legs crossed
Pain ignoring
Mourning
Eyes shut
Body clenching
I see nothing.
Breathe
Deep breaths
Remember something
Memories
Happy laughter
Getting louder
I feel something.
Awake
Colors flashing
Lights soothing
Peace
Comfort resting
Mind freeing
I see something.
Silence
Pieces mending
Void filling
Joy
Trap breaking
People laughing
I hear something.
Note to reader:
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this poem.
I wanted to capture the ride of being pulled into and out of depression. This was outside of my comfort zone. Normally I love rhyming and I wanted to build skill outside of that.

I struggle with non rhyming poems, but I can see the lines 'I hear nothing, I see nothing, I remember something, I feel something, I see something, I hear something', tie it all together through the journey.
Wonderful & inspirational!!!♥️♥️💕
That was amazing. It felt like being in a war zone, then he war ended. Really, really well done.
