so ive grown out my hair
i've pretended not to care
i tried not to share
i didn't really dare
from the comfort i never strayed
i feel like i've been splayed
its just a game and i just got played
no "L" ... just spayed
a retinal carnival behind my eyes
i see the lights and feel the highs
a nesting and resting between the thighs
acceptance dependent on schemes and lies
yet i've got holes in my socks
my shoes attract rocks
all that i measure is by a series of shocks
but no way on earth am i cutting my locks
