For A Close Friend
A sonnet for a close friend, whoβs smile lights me up and lifts my spirit every time we meet. Today she told me her age which came as quite a shock. I thought she was far younger.
Most of the Smile songs were not very good , but I do like Wet Willie's "Keep On Smilin'"

When we meet , your smile makes my day
Your sunshine smile beams out to me
The sunlight warms my spirit you see
You smile is your most perfect way

A call , A word , A text from You
Your smile shines through, and lights my day
Like no other, secrets we share
Bring us closer, A smile so true

The time we#re spending by your pool
Your Texas smile lights up my heart
With You Iβm good to play the fool
To make you smile , and we can start
To enjoy our time , and we both smile
At each other , we touch awhile
