Slinking ever so silently with pride in its step,

it creeps ever closer with quite the haughty pep.

Slowly it reaches the destination for the day,

and soon it begins preparing for oncoming prey.

Hiding among what little nature provides,

our assassin makes sure his attention never divides.

With body in place he just has to wait,

for dinner comes on a fine dinner plate.

The plate overturns and dinner quickly escapes,

swiftly he pursues while fluttering his capes.

A quick snap of his trap ends his chase quickly,

which isn't a problem with body so slickly.

His mission complete our assassin goes to rest,

until the next time he yearns for a fest.
