Night Light

comforts of fire

Its warms the body and calms the soul,

cold gets jealous with spotlight stole.

Bright and beautiful with plenty of heat,

everyone enjoys its company round seat.

Lovely at night with plenty to burn,

giving us light wherever we turn.

Plenty of stories are found in its body,

bringing down chills no matter how haughty.

A pleasure to spend with company you know,

its brings new life to any old show.

Popping if green likes fireworks gone mad,

entertaining the kids if any are sad.

Shining like rubies that dance through the night,

brightly showing us how strong is its might.

We love to have it in many a case,

enjoying the warmth with loving embrace.

Soon it dies down to nothing but ash,

thank you, though your time was but a flash.
