She sits in the dark

looking back over her broken heart.

She seeks answers she knows she will never find.

She is a soul who loves with her whole being,

forever pouring into everyone she loves.

So why is she so broken?

Is it because she held on too hard and,

choked her beloves heart.

Is her heart so big it scares everyone,

so they run away.

These answers she will never find.

So she sits in the dark.

Cradling what is left of her broken heart,

as she has before.

The only change this time is she is not seeking to fix it.

She is done fixing her heart.

This time it will stay broken.

That way her heart can not be broken again.
