Sinister

Introduction

I was not sure how to approach this. It's International Left Handers Day, and I suppose the 13th is a perfect day for it, given how both have been treated (lefthandedness and the number 13)

Then I thought there are a lot of songs and books that use the word "Left" in their titles, so that a Plagiaristic Poem would be appropriate, and my next anthology will be a book of Plagiaristic Poetry. The concept is documented at the end of this poem.

"Sinister" is Latin for left, and "Dexter" is Latin for right, but most of us will associate "Dexter" with the excellent TV murderer.

Right is a synonym for correct, so does that make left a synonym for wrong? It doesn't, but it is what the church and society preached until recently.
