Simplicity

a reminder to let life be

By Caitlin RosePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The sky is blue, the sun is nice

If I could give you some advice

It’s to breathe life in, and let it be

watch as leaves turn red from green

Let crisp breeze tickle bare knees

In old and faded denim jeans

Witness gulls majestically rise

Without grievance to their screechy cries

Forget your wants, hear your needs

Listen, listen, intuitively

When the sun sets and a new day rises

The next day may have no surprises.

So my dear, it’s best to be

Content with sheer simplicity

nature poetry

About the Creator

Caitlin Rose

To read and to write is to bear witness to uniquely individual, yet interwoven experiences of humanity. To connect and ignite our emotions. (And also just another opportunity to run my mouth and call it art).

Very nice. It is also good to be reminded to appreciate the little things. As Socrates said: “Beware the barrenness of a busy life.”
