I stare at the ceiling
My breath heavy
My head spinning
I look around trying to cling on to anything that can make sense
I stare at my Bubba
Silent, prosperous energy
She is so beautiful and strong
He's been with me in the hot sun
Feeling the scorching heat
She's been with me when I had nothing to eat
He was there when I was in utter despair
When I felt the bliss of union.
When I gave up hope and decided It was time to go back home
She was there when I was alone
When I saw myself
Gasping for air
Scars branded by the heat
Leaving me lost in deceit
I look at Bubba and I realized he was always there
