Signing off, Luna
Notes from the Moon's PR Desk
Dear Luna,
You sort our hearts, our angst, our woes,
You are the listener of our soulsโ
Though some letters sent are blank,
This email now, for you, in thanks.
A faint, reddish glow,
Each message echoes like the tides,
โWe broke up.โ โShe forgot.โ
You scroll through the heartbreak,
Sighing, knowing what comes next.
The silenceโ
Your only balm.
You check your inboxโ
Your lunar ears hear.
So well.
You hear the grief.
Listen to the loss.
Does she not call?
You sustainโ
In quiet, celestial empathy.
You finally replyโ
Just one.
But never send it.
You too are haunted by lossโ
Of shadows greater than your own.
You delete your inbox.
Confirmed.
No salve.
A thousand heartbreaks,
Now untraceable lint.
Your light, fully dimmed.
Tomorrow, messages renewed.
Inbox fillsโ
Thanks wait.
Yours with Love,
Michelle

Your use of structure and repetition mirrors the moonโs quiet constancy. Itโs a moving reflection on how celestial silence can hold the weight of human sorrow.
So lovely!!
This one is so gentle and strangely comforting! Somehow makes the Moon feel like both our therapist and our pen palโ which is such a cool. ๐
This is a clever personification of the moon. She does seem like an overlookedโand perhaps overwhelmedโPR executive watching over us, influencing the tides to go our way even if we donโt know it. I never thought about her like that before, but it makes sense. Well done, and good luck on the Challenge!
You did so incredibly well in saying so much, in such short lines. Reverencing the rhymes without holding back the meaning. The moon will be pleased to know that in this email, within, is finally a thank you from us. Love love love how you compared the echo of the messages to the tides. Luna ears. Loving how well you think outside the box. ๐๐พ 'Of shadows greater than your own' I feel this line so deeply. I love how you used the phases of the moon, to describe and show the influx of messages and when there's none from either side, the moon goes dimmed. Outstanding and clever. A very thoughtful piece๐คโค๏ธ
I love the focus on how the moon bears the weight of all our woes. A unique, elegant piece!
This was so poignantly beautiful. Loved it!
This is such a beautiful and creative piece.
