Some lanterns lure more than you know.

Lanterns bathe in fog,

Drawing willing moths to flameโ€”

Weary souls entrapped.

"Lanterns bathe in fog." I never thought about this before, now the visual is embedded in my brain. A definite surreal appeal here, Michelle!

This reads like a whisper from another realm, luminous and chilling all at once.

OMG, Michelle, I've read "fog" as "frog" in the title and was wondering where the frogs were lost in the haiku. I loved the haiku without the frogs even more.
