Sifting Chaos And Confusion

Resolution

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

swallowed by the need to be

wrapped tightly in the vining weeds

trying to steal the breath from me

hanging to hope, like falling leaves

changing to suit the changing tides

pooling like puddles in my eyes

clinging to vapors blowing by

notching my skin, while keeping time

gathering storm clouds, bringing a fire

stirring the birds upon a wire

blowing a breeze meant to inspire

the call to flight and rising higher

beyond the chaos and the confusion

shedding this human disillusion

finding a peaceful resolution

that will clear up this grand illusion

This flows beautifully. I really like how it moves from feeling tangled and weighed down to breaking free and finding peace.
