Sideways Rain
This storm has been chasing me, one day at a time.
There's a storm chasing me
And I can't escape it
The wind's tirade is facing me,
This typhoon of glass ends, I can't take it-
Any peace I just so happen to find is so short-lived
Trepidation has completely torn apart my floor- Who will find me?
Water has been slowly rising, what air I have left won't be so long-lived
Thunder's footsteps roar behind me
A cover of clouds turn blue skies black
For a merely infinite moment, my world is blind
Nature's worst is standing at my back
Outside of flashbacks, there's no light to find
Inside the falling rain, sideways coming down
Taking sight from my eyes one at a time
Soon to leave nothing left to be found
This storm has been chasing me, one day at a time
About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
