She Won’t Be Defined

Inspirational Poetry

Disability is natural. We must stop believing that disabilities keep a person from doing something. Because that’s not true… Having a disability doesn’t stop me from doing anything.” — Benjamin Snow

She won’t be defined

By a broken

Definition

Of normalcy.

She won’t

Fit into a

Neat little

Box

Someone else’s

Definition

Of

Normal.

She’s not

Going to sit

By and let

The world

Pass her by

She’s got a life

To live

And

She’ll live

It with

Pride.

She won’t be

Torn down

Broken apart

By unkind words

And thoughtless

Actions.

She’s not going

To let the ignorance

of others

Drag her down.

She won’t

Be defined

By a narrow

Definition

Of normalcy.

No Michelle people should not judge someone by their disabilities but by what they can do. This type of poem never gets old and bears repeating.
