Storms are in her eyes
She sits by the ocean
The sound of the waves lapping
On the sand helps calm her.
It makes her feel safe
Knowing that the strong currents
Can wash away the pain
That she tries hard to hide.
She feels like her world is crumbling
And that she can’t hold back anymore.
She wishes that someone could understand
The pain that surrounds her.
She is tired of being made fun of
She just wants it to stop.
And the only person who stood up for her
Has moved away all of a sudden.
She wishes to stay by the ocean forever
Where she can be happy and free.
