She\Her

An introspective indulgence of pigment and scheme manifests a mirrored hearth of hues and saturation both named and unnamed.

By Alyssa BarnhillPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Somewhere between a burnt orange and a warm butterscotch,

She glows.

A mystique and romantic spirit.

She grows.

Her eyes a brilliant radium,

She knows.

A caricature of pursuit and passion.

Painter's palette, wet with inspiration.

She sleeps beneath a grape & apricot sky,

An artist's dream for both space and time.

Healer by day, poet at night,

Psychedelic fables of love she writes.

Ears planted with melody and midnights,

A warm papaya sunlight.

Eccentric before Vogue,

Althea’s mind went rogue.

She is all of us. Grown old.

A pearlescent kaleidoscope of chroma gold.

Somewhere between light mulberry and natural indigo,

It flows.
