Sharing Hope

Starting a New

Now here we are. It’s twenty-twenty one, and it’s off to a good start.

I can already feel the burning in my heart.

And I have been thinking long and hard about what I hope to accomplish while letting go of the past. No more smoke and mirrors or watching it all burn to ash.

So maybe I should start with inspiring my fellow man and lending a helping hand, coupled with the strength to show them how to stand.

Like tangled webs and dying leaves, I hope to grow like newborn trees as I begin to live my wishful dreams.

And that wish is to keep an open mind, as well as to lead the blind. While watching them expand over time and reaching their prime. Because out of the ashes we shall rise.

I want my words to reach the lost no matter what the cost, so I began to share the pages of my stories that I once kept locked. Spreading my tales across the globe, like a peddler out on a midnight stroll.

Living day by day, watching the children play. Praying that they will never go astray, and learn to enjoy the depths of an exciting new day.

But first, it starts with self-worth. While applying all that I have learned. Investing in my future, and learning new skills, designing T-shirts, and making new friends, while stretching my limits to the very end.

I have begun to see the value in a friendship and harness its energy, and also how to use the most of a day, for you see, you only live once, so let’s not waste it away.

And I know it seems simple and easier said than done, but that’s what makes life so much fun. Learning to see the simplicity in a gentle smile, or creating a brand new style, taking step by step actions and watching the reactions, while reaching a whole new mile and leaving a lasting impression.

I mean so many have left a legacy, opened paths for curiosity while painting their mark all over history. A carbon copy left for you and me. The perfect blueprint for one’s call to destiny.

And it’s no wonder, no fantasy that all would love to be seen, like a sunlit beam down the back of a cool river stream, or to touch the sky like a baby bird just learning to fly.

So I share my voice and lend my ear, to show the world I hold no fear, hoping to spark the flames of those around me, imagining the joy on their face as they walk away so proudly, ready to start the day with a heart full of victory.

And by far. This is no speech or a call for the meek, but rather the ideology of a simple fool with a heart that refuses to turn weak, who has decided to break their shackles and lead the sheep, a modern-day, little Bo Peep.

And please do not be misinformed. This is not a rant or a political stance, but the freeing of a verse that hopes to stay on course while applying little force, because a gift is better received when it is given for free.

For you see. I am no Robin Hood, but a poet who wishes to do good. And spread the message of those so misunderstood. Besides no amount of stealing or robbing could ever taint the rich or feed the poor. Because our moral compass is already out the door.

So this is how I choose to start the year. By having fun, and showing love, while sharing laughs, and giving hugs, meanwhile singing the last song found deep within my lungs, as I go for a walk, and watch the fading of a Golden Sun.
