I like this place

I found my smile in an unexpected place

in all my firsts that will never get old.

My first happy tears that I will keep crying,

my first love beyond my bubble of a world I used to know,

and my first winter seeing pure snow not turned into murky slush immediately.

Moments that seemed fleeting from the outside looking in

are the core memories

ones that I never knew I needed.

The quiet life has quieted the voices of the past

and I never knew how the noise often filled in the blank space

where now all my firsts are fitting in,

and could willingly waste my time in it.

I went to the Globe Theatre in Tokyo, but I never saw the one in England, and this does make me consider my own feelings at the time...
