GREAT writing and thought. My parents always told me to "put your best foot forward", I needed to "make a good impression". Now at the age of 76, I realize how much time I wasted trying to fit the image I thought others should see. Now? (please forgive my language), I don't give a damn! What you see is what you get. I'm a much happier person. Your poem really hit home.
