Two voices

Craving union inside me–

One, the whimsical voice of dreams

The escape from the world into clouds of stars

*

The other, the grounded voice of truth

Just waking up

But not yet steady

On her feet

All of us are parts of two halves of ourselves, like good and bad imps on both shoulders, whispering good and evil, at least that is my belief. This is such a heartfelt poem. So deep and soul searching.

I often feel like I have two opposing halves. So this, while different to my own duality, was brilliant!

I love this - the two voices, each clamoring for something so different within. To be on the journey even if not yet steady! I felt this one!

  • Where dreamy meets reality. I loved this!

  • May they find blessed union, your dreams giving breath & direction to your truth even as your truth gives flesh & blood to your dreams.
