Sometimes, I find, it’s too hard to smile,

So I may, or may not, be around for a while

Serotonin vampires got under my skin,

Closing the blinds on the world looking in.

*

Those serotonin vampires are sucking me dry,

Time takes its toll as it passes me by

I cannot forget, what remains in the dark,

Acting ever so strange, all growl but no bark!

*

Again, not again? Too much pain, too much pain

It’s a wonder I’ve NOT gone completely insane!

Next time you bite, I shall write you away,

I’ll remind you, again, you’re NOT welcome to stay!
