Sense of Love
Can you love a politician's policies?
To choose our leaders is a serious
Role. To pick the ones who govern the State
Who could one day be deleterious
And wipe us all off of the dinner plate.
We could be eaten alive by the lies
And chewed up by all of the rhetoric.
When scandals arise and evil just flies
The one that is right is a heretic.
Through the centuries only few people
Deserved the office in which they all served.
While standing at the top like a steeple,
Too many have imbibed and only swerved.
Politicians are a reflection of
Pure hate and a diluted sense of love.
