Though, through puppy dog eyes,

Glazed over with private thoughts.

Painful memories and dreams,

"Ifs", "What ifs" and "When's"

Fills this mind.

.

Tears in my eyes keep trickling down,

Although I do not remember crying them,

Until I realize that THIS changes nothing,

.

And when slowly but surely,

With regret,

You make the decision to forget,

.

To forget her,

Her,

Her, who was once your everything.

Her,

Whom you used to love.
