Live your life with nothing but the wind in your sails,

When the wind ceases it becomes clear what your heart really feels

You’re either in a repose or emotion overload

Sometimes it’s a high, but all too often we focus on the lows

There may be no “I” in team, but the team forgets about “M” and “E”

I pour my heart out on the field, and yet nothing I receive

People sing praise, but when was the last time they poured you cabernet?

Sweet off their tongue, yet forgotten in their mind

Living as a ghost, yet my heart never resigned

The youthful vitality combated by invisibility

Don’t be fooled, it isn’t a superpower it’s a fallacy

Married to Happiness, haunted by Loneliness

Scammed by Regret as the scars burn like a cigarette

Can’t believe it when I say “I’m fine”

Everyone knows that line is always a lie

Too afraid to share what’s really stalking around my mind

From doubt, fear, and spiritual warfare

The girl who does it all, is just a girl trying to survive

The girl who doesn’t say “no”

The girl who’s exhausted, but will never let it show

Denies the revive…

I’ve done my time, living without regret

Is a motto I will live and die by.
