Selective mute

The beauty of silence.

There was a beauty

to her secure silence.

I came upon it the first day.

And I knew she had what to say.

She was the pretty girl.

with the black hair and large eyes.

Words would have betrayed

All those eyes wade.

---

There was so much innocence

in that silent face.

It made me doubt

what speech was about.

So many secrets were

displayed there.

More than a word astray

can actually betray.

---

I watched her

through hopeful eyes.

Wondering if she'd rise above

with the right amount of love.

She reserved a space

in my bleeding heart.

She was the sweat of my pursuit

The girl who's selective mute.
