Second Rate Spirits Will Never Rise
Poem

Communing with nature is over-rated
It never speaks back
It's like a pause in an ozone that never quite perfected an oasis
Who created silence? Not God
So birds and crickets are the enlightened ones in the morning sun
...and then there's the beauty of a bunny, the kindest view
...and far away 8 pounds of innocence is held in chains that it never before knew
...and my heart shatters all over the place again
Whilst egos try to shelter in my soul the only known universe is on a roll
They had to take everything from me, all that I loved
So that I'd match their mentality
Because everyone knows that misery loves company
So I wait patiently despite the indifferences
...and the government commits atrocities to little victims of circumstance and pats themselves on the shoulders like some twisted nazis
Stables eating butterflies
It's a psychopath reunion down the 'ol street of mine
One must wonder if this is a pause in the universe what's the meaning of it
As if everyone lost basic communication
Of explanation
Of reparation
The silver lining in the skies is knowing that second-rate spirits will never rise

I don't usually write sad poems, it's not really part of my make up. I don't believe in depression either (gasp), but I am not used to overwhelming sadness.
God will make it right

This describes me today "second-rate spirits will never rise"
There is lot going on with this. This line is a question I ask myself many times: 'As if everyone lost basic communication'
