Seasons in Me

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

Verse 1

I’ve had days I lit up the sky

And nights I barely got by

Moments I opened like spring

And others I couldn’t feel a thing

Pre-Chorus

But even the rose lays down her crown

When the frost comes rolling around

Chorus

There’s nothing in nature that blooms all year

So why should I expect it here?

Some days I shine, some days I break

Some days I just need time and space

It’s not weakness, it’s not fear

It’s the rhythm that brought me here

There’s nothing in nature that blooms all year

So I won’t expect myself to either

Verse 2

I’ve learned to love the fallow ground

Where silence is the only sound

Where roots go deep in the unseen

And healing grows in evergreen

Bridge

Let me rest like winter trees

Still alive in quiet peace

I’ll rise again when it’s my time

But for now, this stillness is mine

Final Chorus

There’s nothing in nature that blooms all year

So I’ll hold my seasons near

Grace in the pause, strength in the slow

Beauty in the letting go

It’s not failure, it’s just clear

I’m not made to bloom all year

There’s nothing in nature that blooms all year

And I’m part of nature too, my dear
