Like the seasons we know
The feelings we had came hot and wet
Eased on as the months went
Until the cooling breezes of satisfaction
Swept away the heat from my skin.
Then winter came
So did the pain
From your bitter reign
To suppress me, cage me in.
I endured for as long as I could
But warmth, I wondered
If we’ll ever meet?
As the year came to a close
So did the door of my heart go
And like the seasons we know
The love that grew fat and sprung anew
Shriveled up like ashy dew.
About the Creator

My focus is on inspiring art through literary creations. I love to write poetry, I love to talk about them too, and I really want to build a community of like minded people who love to read, write, and want to share their own space with me.
