I remember growing up, when the world seemed so big and I seemed so small. A harsh realization that who we are doesn't always change in size but the layers of our problems grow wildly inside. Sometimes I try to peel back the layers like an onion to better understand where I really am. But then I get sleepy and just want to crawl back under the covers in search of comfort.

This is beautiful. Yes, let’s go back to bed
I couldn’t relate more to this. You’ve captured life as an adult and it’s hard because we do discover more and more things to fix in ourselves. Many people around us aren’t exactly the most understanding either.
