All The Fun Of The Fair

Fun Fair Haiku

Cotton candy spins,

Screams and music fill the night,

Joy rides up and down.

🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

All The Fun Of The Fair

All the lights spin, spin,

the scent of sugar hits the nose,

screams loop like broken bells,

feet pound against wood, metal, asphalt,

and the air tastes electric, sharp.

The ride jerks up,

the world tilts and laughs,

hands grip, hearts lift,

coins clatter like tiny storms,

cotton clouds of pink vanish in mouths,

and shadows dance across painted horses.

Music slices through the night,

strangers collide with sticky palms,

the carousel cries in hollow circles,

and somewhere, the Ferris wheel groans,

turning faces to the sky,

where stars hide behind the blur.

All the fun of the funfair,

alive, chaotic, endless,

and when the lights fade,

the echoes stick,

smelling of popcorn, metal, thrill,

and I leave with a laugh

still trembling in my chest.
