A Short Poem

By KiaraPublished about a year ago 1 min read
The picture is from my gallery

In those golden summer days,

As exams loomed ahead,

We knew farewells awaited us,

Heartaches silently fed.

"How can I be far from you?"

I pondered, writing away,

Every thought etched in a scrapbook,

Love woven in every display.

Pictures of our cherished times,

With laughter, joy entwined,

People curious about its tales,

I smiled, memories enshrined.

She was the spark in my life,

The joy in each passing day,

Her presence brought solace,

Her absence, heartache's sway.

Her anger pricked like thorns,

Her silence, a balm so pure,

My dearest friend she was,

Whom my heart did adore.

Friendship
