Say, Love.

We are only flawed to the extent the world is.

Say you love me, just because I asked.

And you do

Anything to keep me,

Anything for my energy,

Anything for my vulnerability and compassion

I’m not your pixie girl:

my sole existence to unbreak your heart,

undo the damages from the relationship with your father.

I’m also hurt, isolated, sad

I’m disfigured and whole.

You know me,

I listen and play with your hair

I believe you when you say that I’m beautiful

You admire me,

You love me.

Waves of depression brushes against your shoulders,

And I reach for your hand.

I’ll say you’re OK if that’s what you need to hear.

I’ll be the keeper of your anxiety.

I’m not reckless with you.

Say, Love.

Me and You,

We are only flawed to the extent the world is.

And I’ll be here when you say you love me.
