Sane Again

Blind flower peddler

By Rowan Finley Published 2 years ago 1 min read

It was the day that…

I flew to the moon on dragonfly wings,

and snuggled the stars one by one.

I was a peddler for the world’s flowers, and delivered them all,

to people everywhere I could find.

I didn’t care if I looked like a fool in a hot air balloon,

waving wildly, like streamers in the hands of a child.

It was the day I felt a thousand smiles burst,

exploding from my lip creases like fireworks.

Back down to earth, and rolling in the haystacks of confetti,

I prayed for a miracle, and then saw ten.

You mean to tell me I hit my head just right and now I’m sane again?
