Safe In The Stones
A Sonnet Inspired By The Painting By Angie Livingstone (The Glittering Fox)

Introduction
This is my fortieth piece inspired by Angie's work, and I am grateful that she has allowed me to do this. This is a sonnet.
You can find more of her work on Facebook here
The music is "Standing Stones" by Loreena McKennitt.

See The White Hare Sleeping Sound
Safe In This Magical Place
Surrounded By Standing Stones
Where The Ancestors Were Laid

In West Kennet, Long Barrow
Drenched In Mystical Moonlight
Safe From The Hunter's Arrow
The Hare Sleeps, A Peaceful Night
๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ
Silent Night, Under The Moon
Protecting Stones, Standing Tall
Magic Symbols, Light Flows Down
Makes the Stones A Haven For All

In Long Barrow, White Hare Sleeps
Magical Stones, Deep Mystique

Only 10 to go! Editorial Note: In the line, "Making This Place Is Safe For All" did you mean to include "is" or is it extraneous?
What a perfect poem to read for quiet time and to instill relaxation. Good job, Mike.

This is a calm and magical poem. It feels peaceful, like a quiet dream under the moon. Great work.
