Rusted Bolt

We all are prone to wear and tear

By Seema PatelPublished 7 months ago 1 min read
@Seema

Go out into the world

and see things mindfully.

Find answers to your questions—

life’s lessons are everywhere.

I saw those rusted bolts

on the old pier.

@Seema

As piers go through

batter days and nights,

by harsh ocean waves,

who holds it together?

The bolts, of course.

They seem so small,

but, when they join hands,

they build a sturdy pier.

But even those bolts

are vulnerable.

The salty air and water

cause wear and tear.

The rusted bolts

are getting weaker,

and soon, need to be replaced—

or the pier collapses.

Don’t be arrogant

just because you

are pretty, rich, or

do something strong

if you think,

you are invincible,

you are very wrong.
