Roar

Poem

By Canuck Scriber Lisa LachapellePublished about a year ago 1 min read

Roar outside the jungle

May every step be your test as if you own the street

Put your flag at half mast for all the suffering

Stomp your feet

Let injustice sweep a broken mast

A broken cast mends none

So, roar against the winds

Never stop

Let the echoes live for centuries for those who grasp distinction of voice

If persistence is all you're given to work with then be proud anyway

If hunger be your cloak, shed it

Good job! I especially liked the "let the echoes live for centuries" line. Very powerful, as Dana said.
