River of Living Waters
Water, Water, and More Water

I went to You for just a sip.
To my surprise, You handed me a pale.
So I drank to my heart’s content.
Drank so much it made me frail.
I can feel a current coursing through my soul.
It’s a violent vortex. Yet, like a hundred stained glass windows, it glimmers and gleams.
Its ripples rent, rip, and rive. Yet, like a thousand stars on the face of the night, it shimmies and shines.
It’s a terrible torrent. Yet, like the moonlight on a canvas of water, it glistens and glows.
I know a current is coursing through my soul.
I don’t just feel but now I know.
Though at times my mind may doubt,
This river of life will forever flow.
You and You alone do I thank for this fount.
