Ripples

A Sonnet On Inspiration

By Mike Singleton πŸ’œ Mikeydred Published 3 years ago β€’ Updated 3 years ago β€’ 1 min read

This is a very short sonnet inspired by the Genesis song about how my Muse continues to inspire by creativity.

This is how I become inspired to wrote poetry and stories

πŸŒŠπŸ’™πŸ’¦πŸŒŠπŸ’™πŸ’¦πŸŒŠπŸ’™πŸ’¦

Like Ripples in the Water

From A Silken Mermaid’s Tail

So Your Presence Inspires Me

And My Words Begin To Sail

🌊

You Are My Inspiration

The Queen Of My Creation

Your Sweet Ripples Touch My Soul

Your Beauty, My Elation

πŸ’™

Empress of My Written Word

You lead me with your magic

The Ripples take Me Onward

To More Tales Enigmatic

You Make The Words Flow So Free

My Magical Sweet Beauty

This poem make ripple feel like comfort and consistency. Very lovely work, I love the cover picture. Perfect match for sure❀️

  • While reading this I can envision a blue-green (aguamarine) mermaid's tale of your muse. I love the feel of the ocean and the salty sea air. I get that feeling from this poem. Good work.
