Right On, Sorry, Thanks

I made apologies to silence,

A deal with the grass.

Tears fell from my sky and

I clutched to my past.

I gave it to God and God He

Just sent me to work.

Not like on a mission, like

Regular old work.

No sick days,

No time off allowed.

Jeez you look pale,

Maybe you should sit down.

Just one more meeting

Just one more late day.

I probably would've been a crappy mother,

Anyway.

I was blind to the bigger picture,

I stayed in that awful room.

You were there, and I felt you,

I felt you wash out of my womb.

I'm glad you didn't meet me then,

I hope you'll give me another chance.

My whole Canadian heart summarized:

Right on,

Sorry,

Thanks.
