Evolution of self begins with the exposure of darkness to light

Crawling from beneath the shadows, revealing that which is

Learning is the reflection of our experiences under expectation of what’s right

Imperfection creates a void that causes separation within

Preparing us for external pressure that persists

Severing connection between us and the light creating our internal

Eclipse

This was a thought-provoking read Kelli, and the line "Learning is the reflection of our experiences under expectation of what’s right" sums up your idea quite nicely. How we interact with the world and how we are expected to act can be two quite different things. I like how this is about the internal self:)

This seems like a good way to look into ourselves for getting a better understanding of whatever.

This is so well done, and relevant. Bravo.

  • The "dark night of the soul" which tends to seem never-ending, no matter how brief its duration.

    👏👏👏👏👏

  • Well-wrought! The sun is never really eclipsed though. A mere appearance. Faith in the s(o)ul persists through dark nights of storm and stress! The other celestial bodies gravitate in their orbits while the sun remains fixed, burning and giving freely of its light without undue concern! So many analogies to be drawn from our upcoming event! I've enjoyed reading many takes, and yours here is one of the best!

  • I am honoured you chose to share this on The Vocal platform however have you thought of publishing your exquisite poetry elsewhere? I want to keep you here but it's like keeping Maya Angelou at my kitchen table!
