A tired man, a warrior
There he sits alone,
Cold wind and desolate heart
In a city full of foreign souls
None too familiar to his ways,
He is a full man all his own
Yet lost and missing
Missing something far away
Out of reach but not out of mind,
A hunger fills his temple,
Consumes his anguished body
For that perfect touch so sublime,
Nothing can fulfill him
Here all alone
Far away from his true home
In the heart of another,
Time is ticking, flickering,
Wicking, crawling,
Screeching, creaking,
He longs to smash the structure
That holds time in restraint,
Let loose the seconds, minutes, hours, days,
Chaining his mortal coil from the one,
The only other Soul
That captured his beating heart,
Broken, cracked, bruised, and wretched
Bloody from the past
Now mended by a distant angel
He casts his worn gaze to the gray sky
Exclaiming out to creation itself
"How long must I still wait here thus?"
Then down he sighs roughly
Crudely watching his shadow
Cursedly stuck to him
His only ally in this dark abyss...
There she sits unalone
Crowded by the masses
Surrounded by potential allies perhaps
Shrouded in sheep's clothing
Wolves in the foggy mist waiting to strike
Another strange beautiful soul
Stuck in an even stranger land
On a lone hill of mystery
Amidst a vast, endless stretch of
Mountainous wonder
Mystical as everything was
No beauty compared to the moment
Her man, her love would arrive
In this desolate place
Freeing her from the shackles of loneliness
She would truly unfurl
At the mere sight of him standing there
Let loose her inner raging passions
But still hide it all unseen
Until the right chance arose...
He is waiting
She is waiting
For the arrival
And the start of a new chapter...
