Remnants of Past Lives

Trapped in the Sulcus

By Amos GladePublished 6 months ago Updated 6 months ago 1 min read

I seek to understand

Tenuous reality at hand

Break open my skull and lick

Gray matter

Blood splatter

Like a toxic toad trip

Absorb the reality of a created deity

A mind fucked skinny dip

In a stream of time that trickles and grows

Multivenous generational flows

Uncomprehensible

To a minute vessel

Heart at wrestle

That what I am is nothing more

Than what I've ever been before

Wrapped in skin with eyes wide wailing

Lessons learned but always failing

None of this was ever planned

Yet I still seek to understand

Deep stuff! Wouldn't be surprising if our past mistakes carried over through the lives we've lived (seems like a typical thing to happen). Well-wrought, Amos!
