Reflections of Fate
A Journey of Self-Discovery and Maternal Bonds
Mother,
I am but a fragment of you,
A cloth longing to imbue a different hue,
A caged bird yearning to soar free,
Uncertain whether I'm the black swan or the white.
We orbit each other,
Like the sun and moon,
Eclipsing our comprehension,
While otherwise, we coil like Jormungandr,
Constricting each other's worlds,
Locked in battle with our inner demons,
Wearing masks of each other's visage.
The sea has died and resurrected within us,
Echoes unsettled by the familiar voice,
Yet always beckoning us back,
Like pendulums swaying in the valley between us.
In this poetic journey, I aimed to capture the same introspective and
emotive quality found in the provided poem. If you have any
preferences or adjustments in mind, feel free to let me know.
