Reflections in the Glow
A Poem on Memories and Campfire Tales

Beneath the stars, the flames speak low,
Their crackling tales in ember glow,
Whispers blend with autumn’s breath,
Stirring life in shadows’ depth.
Faces warm in fire’s embrace,
Laughter dances, finds its place,
Stories weave through cedar air,
In sparks that rise without a care.
But then, a hush—the flames grow still,
And silence claims the forest hill.
In that pause, a memory wakes,
A different path, the road it takes.
For in the quiet, truths unfold,
Moments more precious than we hold,
Youth’s bright echoes, soft and slow,
Warmed by the light that time lets go.
And when the flames give way to night,
The embers fade, but not the light,
For even shadows hold their glow,
Guiding us home, where hearts still know.
