Forgive me

Redemption's Grace

In the shadows of my own mistakes,

I see the hurt that my heart did make.

A love too fierce, too blind to see,

I caused you pain, and for that, I plea.

With heart heavy, I look back and reflect,

On the wounds I caused, the scars I left.

In the tempest of passion, I lost my way,

Hurting the one I vowed to cherish each day.

My love for you was fierce, unbridled, and true,

Yet in its intensity, it hurt not just me, but you.

For in my blindness, I failed to see,

That love's sweet dance requires both to be free.

I ask for forgiveness, for the tears I caused,

For the moments shattered and the dreams paused.

I take responsibility for the wounds I've dealt,

A realization learned as my heart begins to melt.

Though I can't erase the past or pain I've sown,

I promise to grow, to change, to atone.

For in forgiveness' light, I find my way,

To mend what's broken, in a brighter day.

With humility, I stand before you now,

A contrite heart and a solemn vow.

To learn from my mistakes, to make amends,

To find healing, and to make us friends.

So, as I whisper my plea from within,

Know that my love will forever begin.

In the journey of redemption, side by side,

May forgiveness mend what was once untied.
