In English:

Red sounds like

your valentine is running up

to give you an affectionate squeeze

or a noisy, ominous roar

that's coming from a vulnerable person

whose been eaten alive.

Red tastes like

a bowl of beef stew mingled with habanero sauce

that's as hot as jalapeno peppers

or a glass bottle

of freshly made raspberry cordial

that's as fruity as strawberry preserves.

Red smells like

a plastic bottle of aromatic, refreshing rosewater perfume

being sprayed around the house

or a pot of dangerously spicy

red pepper chicken soup

that's cooking on top of a stove.

Red looks like

two couples ambling along the beach

stuck together like mint gum

or a cold-blooded, demonic killer

chasing after a school of animals

so he could slaughter them, without empathy.

Red feels like

having a brightly-coloured heated blanket

being thrown over your fatigued body

or severe sunburns

marked on your arms, neck, scalp and head

from exposing yourself to excessive sunlight and heat.

In Swedish:

Rött låter

sott att din valentin

springer fram till dig

för att ge dig en tillgiven squeeze,

eller ett bullrigt, olycksbådande vrål

från en utsatt person

som har blivit uppänta levande.

Rött smakar

en skål köttgryta blandat med röd hanaberosås

det är lika hett som jalapenopeppar

eller en glasflaska

av nygjord hallonfrukt

det är lika fruktigt som jordgubbskonserver.

Rött luktar

en plastflaska med aromatisk, uppfriskande rosenvattenparfym

sprayas runt huset

Well done! I loved your use of all the senses, and I really enjoyed comparing the Swedish version to the English one. It was fun for me as a non-Swedish speaking person to see if there were any words I could identify. Thanks for sharing this :)
