Lemons/Zitronen

As I’ve stated in many of my Vocal stories, I’m a multilingual woman with a passion for foreign languages and a goal to know 25 languages. Knowing a wide range of foreign languages is beneficial for me, because it will allow me to write more poems and diary entries in different languages. It will also open more doors to various opportunities in life. That’s just my philosophy on it.

Writing poetry in foreign languages aids in the memory of the words I’ve learned in each language. I also enjoy writing poetry in foreign languages, because it gives me the chance to connect with my fans and friends who either don’t speak, read or write English as their native languages and to amaze people with my innate language learning gift!

I invite you to read a sensory free verse poem I wrote in both English and German! I hope you all enjoy the read!

In English:

Lemons are an elixir

to sound health and wellness.

They may be sour and beaming,

but they are worth the nibble,

the sip,

the gulp

or the drop in yogurt.

Either way,

lemons will call you

back to recovery.

In German:

Zitronen sind ein Elixier

zu einwandfreier Gesundheit

und Wohlbefinden.

Zitronen können scharf und strahlend sein,

aber sie sind mit dem knabbern,

der Schluck,

oder der Tropfen in Joghurt.

In jedem Fall,

Zitronen ruft Sie

zurück zu einer reibungslosen Genesung.
