I know that this thought may seem overdue
the summer's gone now and fall has ended too
rain, rain please go away, I'm feeling blue
it's way too cold to feel the way I do
the ice is forming all around my heart
the windows displaying frozen works of art
I know it's hard believing, this is where we are
but like the chill, it's far too late to start...
over
it's really over.
I'm like the frost choking the clover
there are no do-overs, it's over
this time it's
it's really over
over extended, it's out of my control
over pretending there's room for you, here, in my soul
it's over like the last time
but this time, it is the last time
I'll get over you
cause I am so over you

🧊💔Very intriguing first line. 💪🏾❤️The rhyme and flow was engaging. The lines had a powerful tone, it allows us to linger on each one. 🧊💔'It's way too cold to feel the way I do' very relatable. 'Start over...' ❄️☘️I like how the ending of this line, was the start of the following one. A meaning transferred — guiding our minds to the end of summer and autumn. 💪🏾❤️A surprising but effective rhyme 'I'm like the frost choking the clover' ☘️❄️Oh so this was about a heartbreak, I like how you relate the frost and the clover back to this. The ending was like a lock — finally finding the key. Outstanding work as always, Kelli 🤗🖤❤️
Stay strong!

Yes, make it the last time!! Lovely poem, Kelli!
A beautiful poem of sorrow. But happiness doesn't have to be over....let's just give it a push.
