real as I believe I am

deep in the depths of dissociation

I yearn for a society that has been and gone

Or perhaps it never came at all

And maybe it never will

But it’s there

Deep in the depths of dissociation

Between two minds of thought,

Fantasising about what I am missing...

WAIT!

Did I lock the front door?

Yes...

Yes, I did.

'One for sorrow,

Two for joy.'

H-a-p-p-y B-i-r-t-hhhhhhhhh-

Wandering down memories

Like some old Roman road,

I warp to my pleasing.

Cute cat.

Willow Tree;

Daisies in Spring,

Clouds shaped like polar bears.

Something is absent

Absolute consciousness.

Being the cosmos itself.

Burning stars and collapsing suns

Blackholes and supernovas,

Amongst Gods and Kings.

Spinning nowhere

Masters, makers, content creators,

Puppeteering the lies we tell ourselves.

Beneath the surface

Where my spirit sleeps,

Is real as I believe I am.

I love how you walked the reader through such large concepts from the brain of the main character, to end with such a grounded, solid thought. Beautifully done!
