Where were you heading? I love this line. 'Two fingers tracing' it brings the image of this person alive. I can imagine their personality. Maybe even their face expression. I like how we get to imagine the distance between you two. The space to imagine the kind of book she was reading and the satisfaction of knowing that you might've been reading a book of poetry.
